Selected Paintings from the series The Unbearable Weight of Idealized Love

The following paintings are a part of a larger series of works titled “The Unbearable Weight of Idealized Love.” They are an exploration of the relationship between bodies and the space they occupy - both in relation to themselves (and occasionally with other bodies) and the vastness of the universe. Some tell a narrative of consumption, sharing, or entanglement - while others are about taking up vast energetic space, much larger than the physical body. All are a meditation on non-duality and the consistent human desire to try and find fulfillment outside of one’s self.
